My Story

I am passionate about seeing people grow, learn and thrive and I strive to create a warm, safe, and supportive environment for clients. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and a Master of Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle.  I am a Registered Psychologist  through the College of Alberta Psychologists, the regulated body for the profession of Psychology in the province of Alberta.

I have worked as a counsellor with youth (7-18), individuals, couples and families since 2011. My passion is to assist people to celebrate their strengths, successes and shift their perspectives. Drawing from strength based, solution focused, narrative therapy, and systems theory, I work together with clients to acknowledge their success and move forward towards their goals and best future selves.

My main areas of passion are working with children and youth experiencing anxiety, anger, separation and divorce, and self-esteem. I am also passionate about assisting parents to gain awareness about their concerns for their children and provide this through presentations and one on one parent support, in person or via remote online services.

I have had the honor of presenting numerous workshops on anxiety most notably at the Caregivers Conference in Lethbridge 2018. I have also provided various community workshops at Family Centre and within Holy Spirit Catholic School Division and Lethbridge School District 51.

I believe that as a counsellor it is important to be a part of a team and to stay up to date with current approaches. I accomplish this through attending and taking part in ongoing training. Through ongoing supervision and collaboration with colleagues, I seek to do my best to gain valuable tools, skills and perspectives to assist me in being the support I wish to be for others.

When I am not working, I am a mom of two beautiful children and a fur baby. My partner and I are outdoors people with a love for camping, hiking, biking, nature walks, and adventuring in all seasons. For my own self-care, I practice mindfulness techniques, hike, backpack, and I love to create in a variety of ways, especially drawing and painting.

I appreciate you taking the time to explore this information, as I believe that the relationship you have with your counsellor is an important part of growth and change. I encourage you to do some research to find the best fit for you, your child/youth and your family. Look around, ask people, search those potential people out, give them a call to ask questions and ultimately, trust your gut. I hope that I can support you and your family on your journey and look forward to hearing from you should you decide I am the right fit. Call me to inquire further about my services, ask any questions, and to book an appointment.

I offer a variety of options for
those seeking services including
